This pest is very common in my garden.  Between balloon pods and these guys, I harvested very few seeds this year.  :-(

On the bright side, my biodiverse pesticide-free herbicide-free garden hosts a healthy population of Mononychus vulpeculus apparently.  ;-)

And whatever that bug is that keeps decapitating my Echinacea tenneseensis flowers.... OMG i want you dead!

I lost ×robusta seeds to this on plants I collected in the Upper Peninsula this summer.
