Iris magnifica seedlings certainly don't grow very fast, though I suspect
they might grow faster under ideal conditions. At the beginning of 1998
I planted seeds of both Iris magnifica and Iris magnifica alba that I
obtained
through the North American Rock Garden Society.
The first picture shows seedling if I. magnifica alba in September 2001.
One of them is still alive and has one very nice storage root as shown
in the second picture. The third picture is of an I. magnifica seedling that
still has not produced a root.
Growing juno from seeds is an adventure, a very slow adventure.
