Hi Walter, Rodney forwarded your message to me, as SIGNA pres. I don’t know how much you know about all this, but we thought we had found a new seed ex chair; that person
appears to have chickened out and has not communicated with any of us since June. If you are really prepared to take this on, it would be a great relief and a great help to SIGNA. I’m attaching a copy of a back issue of the SIGNA bulletin in which the former
seed exchange chairs talk about what is involved. Please look it over, and let us know if you truly think you can take this on. Ken Walkup From: iris-species@yahoogroups.com [mailto:iris-species@yahoogroups.com]
Rodney If things are where the seed exchange might be canceled this year, I'd be willing to do it for a while (few years). I used to be a professional plant breeder, and was president of the Central Prairie Seed
Exchange for a few years, 2 years grad school in genetics, recently "retired" (or became a full-time plant breeder again, but not paid). Forward this to whoever would decides these things. WalterPickett |
