I was sitting in the sun shucking seeds from Pacific Coast pods when I was joined by a yellow-jacket which checked out all the seeds in the tray, giving each a nudge. None met expectations, so I didn't get to observe how it was going to fly away with one.

I've had wasps take trillium seeds, but this is the first time interest has been shown in iris.
