There was some stuff about seeds generating heat as they metabolize
rapidly during germination & also about gas exchange.  I'm willing to
try anything, & putting some apples in a bin with the burritos is easy
enough.  At least from your unintentional experiment with apples in the
fridge, we know it won't hurt.

Did all your apple burritos germinate?  Or are there still seeds left.

<You know. there has long been an old wives tale that if you put the pot
with
                       the germinating seedlings close to the ones that
aren't germinating it will
                       encourage germination.  Wonder if that was due to
the ethylene gas?  Also,
                       the burrito method of placing the seeds in
baggies may work better due to
                       the ethylene gas being trapped in the baggy?
