CULT:Bloom

	Dennis Kramb has been singing the praises of SATAN'S 
MISTRESS for about two years now, and I was curious yellow 
about it last year, so we traded, and I got SM.

	WOW!  How come this didn't get distributed and win 
something?

	This very dark red-black upstages BEFORE THE STORM and 
some of the Schreiner blacks in every way...form, color, 
branching...you name it.  The beard is so cold, too. It is from the 
hand of G. Spellman, whose name is not listed in the back of the 
1989 Checklist.  Come to think of it, I remember Sharon 
mentioning him.

	Finally, while checking out the new arilbred seedlings, I can  
report on one I like.  Out of a cross of PRIVILEGED CHARACTER 
and PINK BETTERMENT, I got an arilmedian that has blue on 
white plic standards and yellow arilish falls with a few blue lines 
and tiny dots of blue on a pale yellow background.  Now, we'll just 
have to wait and see if the sun fades out the markings.
