"Neomarica" longifolia is now Trimezia, a different genus. Still, they are
similar and might be crossable. I note that my Trimezia plants produce
"apostles" from the bloomstalks just like Neomarica. The reproductive
parts of Neomarica flowers are exactly the same as in irises, just smaller
and more tightly clustered. Get a good magnifier and you'll figure it out.
