Bob,
Mine were at peak around Aug. 8th with the first one opening on June
27th. We were about a week or two early last year so I don't know what
to expect this year. They bloomed here after the Siberians and probably with
the JA's....we had moved the summer before and we started out with new JAs
and none of them bloomed last year. You are
a couple of Zones warmer than we are so you would get earlier bloom,
of course. None of English irises are showing any green at all.
I sighted the first reticulatas today. NO I. danfordiae. 'Clairette'
I. reticulata has several green shoots showing in the front garden.
tulips are just emerging from the ground (one of my dogs decided to
run over them today..grrrr) and some daffodils are just beginning to
sprout. The early tulips will beat them.
