I had an AB snake this year too... I'll go and look it up later.
First and only time I've seen any iris snake. The TBs have been
notorious this year for weak, brittle, short, and no bloomstalks
(blooming in the fans). I did nothing different than most years
and I believe that our strange weather (temp combined with rain)
did this.
WRT using an iris in a wedding bouquet: even if enough could be
found, are they suitable? They bruise and crease and wilt very
easily in my experience, unless SIBs are much different than TBs
and ABs and LAs. Even in a flower arrangement they are much
more fragile and shorter lived -- but they'd do better than
in a bouquet.
Nelli: If you are a relatively newbie and NOT someone well
versed in e-netiquette and NOT someone who's trolled and
spammed a bunch of other newsgroups: it's customary to
post an INVITATION to join your group (one only) to
a mailing list. Not to contact each individual member
off the list, whom you cannot know, with no reference as to
how you got their address. There's really no need to write
to defend your honour; if you do, you protest too much. You've
gotten plenty of free publicity as it is. I write this really
for others who might be wondering how to handle a situation like
this in future.
