Re: HYB: mystery irises


By all means if it makes good children, introduce them.  Who knows, you
may eventually figure out what the parents are and be able to submit it
to a later R&I as a correction.

Also, if irreputable dealers are selling unintroduced seedlings that
perform better than the named cultivars they sort of look like, then
good for them!  I was delighted to see an EDITH WOLFORD lookalike bloom
in my garden last year from a mislabelled 'Mart iris, since the real
thing won't live for me (or others in this area).  It was labelled
something that was supposed to be a blue amoena. Nice.
