I've noticed the HCC notation. Don't know a thing about that system. Can
you
tell us something about it, Sharon?<
Very little, except that HCC stands for Horticultural Color Chart and it
was a predecessor of the RHS [Royal Horticultural Society] set. The
booklet I have describes how the new charts were correlated with older ones
and when an HCC color name has been matched with an RHS chip the HCC number
is also given. With the HCC name & number from a registration, the RHS set
& booklet, it's relatively easy to find the matching color chip.
When I started hybridizing the RHS charts were available from AIS and it
was the system aril hybridizers recommended.
