Re: HYB: Mike's red seedling

Mike - when I compare it to my red jacket, which is lying handily
nearby, the edges of the falls appear rust colored (orangey brown).

Are you looking for truly red pigments, or the impression of red?

If the former, try crumpling some trimmed off bits of the red petals and
rubbing them on white bond paper (or water color paper, or something
that will quickly soak up the color). A quick and easy way to see what
the mix of pigments look like without the effect of texture and
reflected/refracted light.

If the latter, some of the so-called reds that are already around give a
much redder impression here than this photo (SULTAN'S PALACE, PLAY WITH
FIRE).

But it's pretty!
