I've had it but don't think it will bloom this year. I may have lost it. It was a beautiful iris. If it had bloomed I could send you some. I got it from Adam Grove. Mary

Well folks, I'm as bad as a new convert about this 1909 iris. I just love
it! I saw it first two years ago at Argyle Acres and it was love at first
sight. I had to have it.
They had just gotten it the fall before and didn't have enough to sell, so I
resigned myself to a wait, when lo I found it in the Maryott catalogue. Mine
is blooming now
and it is sooo pretty. It is median height and reminds me of a slightly
larger MTB
with pale lemon standards with irregular patches of purple veined areas with
white background. The falls have hafts of the veined purp. on white
blending into purple with a yellow rim. They are round and flairing with
six blooms per stem and good substance. Maybe to all the rest of you who
grow historc iris, this one is old hat,
but for those who dont, try it. You'll like it.
