Kathy in East Aurora:
Think of the advantage to your psyche, your body and the environment if
you took a small, low stool into the garden and pulled the weeds, even
lifting them a bit with a dandylion tool to make sure you are getting out the
roots. They make a great nitrogen addition to your compost, and you aireate
(sp?) the soil in the process. Just don't bend over too much at once or you
will get a stiff back, but a little every day... To me, puling weeds is the
closest I will ever come to achieving a good Alpha state, having tried all
sorts of meditation techniques. Sex is better, of course, but not often
enough and not long enough.
