I am still having borer problems. Half my iris are uncovered by snow and the
other half is still 3-4 " under the snow. Will go and spray this weekend and
finish removing old leaves. Here I find that the leaves are still green and
growing right up untill we get snow and then they are buried so it is hard to
remove them in the fall.
I think Buring is okay. have you been to the amazon? we are not buring
chemicals and our little backyard fires are so minor in comparison with
industry. I am off on a tangent but we have low water use flush toilets now
that we have to flush 3 times using just as much water as before, a renewable
resorce, while industry pollutes major waterways. What is wrong with this
thinking?
Anyway i have crushed and sprayed and burnt iris and still have borer and I
think in New England always will.
