Last fall I planted Iris Reticulata -harmony and Iris Danfordiae. Well they
finally came up and bloomed a few weeks ago. So much for March flowers.
Anybody know what the normal bloom time is for the Toronto area? This winter
was wierd so I don't think I should treat the april bloom time has normal.
Also the reticulata looked great. It held the flower up and stood up to the
wind storms we've had. The Danfordiae wasn't so nice. It couldn't hold it's
flower up and the first stiff breeze sent the flower flying down the lawn.
Do I need to dead head the reticulata? Not much worry with the danfordiae the
wind is doing a pretty good job of dead heading.
Thanks
Nick
