Hi. Eliz. That is one way of raising your own fertilizer!  I have to go to a 
riding school to get mine or , sometimes, my granddaughter  brings me some 
(the one who teaches riding, as well as the fancy kind - (having a senior 
moment and can't think of the name  right now  --------  just came to me!  
dressage) and is still riding, even tho expecting her #2 child next week! !  
These modern girls!  She also has an iris garden (of course, no grandchild of 
mine could do otherwise!!)   Rosalie nr Baltimore  zone 7 where we are
