Lots of Ghio stuff blooming for me. His 2001 Double Dribble is a blue
(almost, as with many the hue has purplish leanings) and striking white
veins. I consider it a luminata, although Ghio listed it as a fancy
plicata. Double Dribble is tall, strong, well-formed though not super
ruffled, good sustance, good branching, and decent increase despite being in
a pot. I love it! Decipher recently finished blooming for me: a similar
flower in purple though not quite as lovely or strong. Laugh Lines will
open soon; it appears to be a burgandy version. Too bad I can never get an
undeformed flower from Double Vision; it appears to be the same pattern in
reddish burgandy with a bright yellow ground. Two years in a row I get
short stalks with two melted flowers from it. Wonder if at least the
pollen's any good.
Other newer blooms up include Slapstick, Silk Brocade, & Dream Lord (soon).
Best Bet just opened and got a helping of Reincarnation pollen for
breakfast. Trying to get some weedlike neglectas with good branching and
form; later I'll have to breed the blue back in.
