Dear Irismmoose. I am forwarding your letter to Charlie Brown who is the
current President of the Reblooming Iris Society, (I am the immediate past
president) He will know about the new web that is coming up -- and could
send you info which should include how to join us. We have a very good
publication which includes a symposium which gives the latest on what
reblooms where. There is also a checklist of over 2300 irises that rebloom,
giving the USDA zone and the State or Country that has reported rebloom.
This is available also from Charlie for $10.00 (maybe plus postage) One of
the best catalogss from someone specializing in rebloomers (this year with 6
or 7 pages of color photos) (cost $2.00 - and should be at least 3.00
because I bet she'll lose money!) - Joan Roberts of FRIENDSHIP GARDENS , 341
Schwartz Road, Gettysburg, PA 17125-8622 (you may say I suggested her name -
she's a protege of mine - her garden will be on tour at the National AIS
meetings in York in May. She also introduces irises for Lloyd Zurbrigg, John
Weiler, Clarence Mahan, besides her own - She is extremely ethical and
generous in her dealings)
I don't think you gave your zone, state, or name - a little difficult to
file, without the latter! Rosalie nr Baltimore zone 7(flirting with a
freeze and possible snow flurries, but summer will hit us with a bang, I am
sure! ryfigge@aol.com
