HYB:lycopene carotene

I've read through many messages in this forum, but the differences 
concerning carotenoid pigments aren't clear at all. So I've searched 
the web for a few info about these. It brings interesting things 
about orange, pink and maybe RED irises, lycopene cyclase enzymes...

Maybe, there is a carotenoid specialist among us that could tell more 
about. And does anyone have a method in using chromatography to 
separate vegetal color pigments?
