A friend in Sterling, Va. who owns and operates a number of greenhouses,
commented on a a question I had last year. I was asking, complaining, etc.,
about heavy moss infestation in a new iris bed. He said if I had added a lot
of promix or compost and/or leaf mold to the ground it would add to a water
retention problems.
Kind of a darned if you do and darned if you don't. The heavy red clay needs
the compost or leaf mold to lighten the soil.
In this vein, has anyone anything to offer in dos and don'ts in the use of
Security moss & mildew killer? The label info say "WILL NOT BURN" (their
emphasis not mine ;o)).
