It's a 3-way race between my arils, TBs and Louisianas to see which 
will bloom first.  They've each got several clumps of different 
cultivars with stalks approaching max height -- and buds starting to 
show color.

The microclimate of being near the house has really given the LAs a 
boost... they are blooming about a month early.  Some arilbreds have 
already bloomed... and the arils are not far behind.  It's amazing 
how fast these irises shoot up their stalks!
