You may want to check with Rick Tasco, he had a sport from Keppels
"Humoresque"
that had variegated foliage. Keith and some others that have looked at it
said it would never survive or repeat, but Rick has separated it and for
several years it is still living and still variegated. BTW, Humoresque
was the first Broken Color iris introduced.
