Bill,
I have been finding an unusual worm type critter in the soil this spring that I have not found before. There are really a lot of them. They are an inch and a half long and fat looking. They are a dark dirty grey color and have a fringy look around what seems to be the posterior end. They are soft and move like earth worms but seem to have pretty tough little bodies. Sort of like rubber bands when I try to squeeze them to death. Could these be 7 year locust larva? I worry about the locust coming back as the weather has been excellent for them to do so.

It is warmer today than yesterday but was 22 last night and still pretty breezy.
