Wendy, perhaps it you put it in a large, not too deep jar with a piece of
aluminum screening over the top along with some of what ever you found it
in, (soil, I assume) and let it go through its cycle. . you'll see what
"hatches." I've done this with a number of unknowns and have never ceased
to be amazed at what ultimately flew or crawled out of my jar (or didn't
- if I identified it to be an undesirable)! Try it!! I suggested the
screen because from what you said, it would eat its way through a cloth
net!
