Hi,
Sorry, I didn't include a preface regarding the databse, it was getting late and as you noticed, I was starting to fade.
I thought I would tell you what entry fields it has and currently what the database is capable of.
Fields are as follows:
*****
Name
Category (Editable Drop Down List to choose from)
Location (Editable Drop Down List to choose from)
Fertilization
Identification Number
Polinated with ID Number (This is in Version 1.1 to come)
Date Planted Indoors
Date Planted Outdoors
Date Bloomed
Blooming Time/Maturity (Editable Drop Down List to choose from)
Polination Date
Photograph (you can insert a photo of the plant)
****
Vendor (Drop down list of current entries)
Original Nursery (Editable Drop Down List to choose from)
Date Purchased
Cost
Items/Pkg
Age (This is for how many years)
*****
Notes
*****
There are four buttons on the side which respectively will sort your entries into the categories of Flowers, Vegetables, Fruits and Tree. (In Version 1.1 I will have it popping to the list view)
At the top on the lefthand side you will notice buttons which are: First, Previous, Find, Next, Last. The Find button will show you a blank entry and you are able to put a word in one or more fields in order to search for your criteria. Should you need additional assistance on the find funtionality, you will have to double click on the
fmpro50.hlp file as I noticed it is not opening up appropriately. This is the helpfile for the database.
At the top on the righthand side you will see New, List and Quit. New creates a new record. List takes to you a listing of what you are currently viewing and Quit of course quits the database.
In Version 1.1 I will be adding a find all button. Currently you will have to need to hit the following buttons together Ctrl J (Control and then the letter "J"). This will bring all your records to view
-----
The list format shows what you are currently viewing and has the following headings. Location, Category, Name, Bloom Date and Age. If you click on the purple arrow you will be able to return to the record of the specific item. If you click on the heading it will sort the specific column. The heading toggle between ascending sort and decending
sorts.
-----
This is a filemaker pro runtime version.
If you would like to see anything in the database write to me with fields etc. for Version 1.1.
I will likely put printable reports and possibly labels in that version as well.
Janet
