Vernon,
I have grown PINK SLEIGH (Nate Rudolph, 1970) for over 20 years, and it
does well enough here and even better in some other local gardens. I have
the sense, however, that it is not an iris for all climates and conditions,
and that its performance has been less than outstanding in more locales
than otherwise. This is a pity, because it is a very pretty iris, and its
color, which has been described as "blue" pink (whatever that is) is quite
unique and most alluring.
