Re: HYB: technique - seed germination


Donald, you know by now that we are both trying to figure out answers to
unanswerable questions <g>.  Rather than soaking your already planted
seeds, I would put them in some kind of coarse medium in little pots and
wet them down every day, keeping them in the fridge.  I'd be worried
about them not getting enough oxygen if they were totally submerged for
weeks now that they are (presumably) already hydrated.

On the other hand, I put some of the potlets of seeds that had been in
the fridge for 2 months that didn't germinate back in the fridge for
another month after leaving them out in the window sill for a few
days/weeks.  I don't think anything is going to come up in those pots -
nothing so far anyway.

So maybe re-chilling your seeds at this point isn't going to help any.

Heck, I don't know.
