My first iris season is getting started here at Happy Moose Daylily Garden. Glenn Grigg and Lloyd Zurbrigg can be credited (charged) with getting me hooked. After visiting their gardens last year several times, photographing the iris, acquiring a starter collection for hybridizing rebloomers, and getting started on a collection for the display garden -- things are well underway.
In this early part of the season three cultivars have risen to be favorites amongst my young collection. They are CONGRATULATIONS, THORNBIRD, and SWEET MUSSET.
CONGRATULATIONS is the flower that is garnering the most attention and collecting the most "wows!" from garden visitors.
I have pictures of these flowers on my website, however, the picture gallery pop-up windows are only working for the A through M cultivar pages in Netscape Navigator. All the gallery pages work fine in Internet Explorer. I am still rewriting the code to make it backward compatible for Netscape 4.x browsers.
