Even the the seedlings??? Come look at mine. I dearly love the
pus colored ones that seem to come out of nowhere (maybe
SILVERADO).

Word has abounded in the past on this list about the pod parent
having more dominant influence on what the progeny will look like.

I am looking at many giving maiden bloom this year where that is
not the case, and I am not talking about really wide crosses either.

Ride the Wind X Victoria Circle (majority look like VC).

Zerzura x Tel Aviv (take after Tel Aviv)

Horatio X Crowned Heads (poppa influence)

Violet Reprise X Cantina (poppa influence again)

The above are crosses that command attention wherein the pollen
parent has a greater influence.

Out of about 32 plants from Painted Plic x Ziggy, more than half
have bloomed and there is only one that looks like Ziggy. Momma
really ruled here. Most have been culled now. I saved a few that
did not bloom.

Pinkness X White Reprise (all yellows and whites as to be
expected) One is midway between a BB and a TB in flower size.
and is the best of the cross. It is yellow and white with quite a bit of
lace. It probably will be tossed because it has no classification. It
is 'too old for toys and too young for boys.' My crosses seem to
produce a lot of these. I also have a medium blue with nice form
and a striking deep yellow beard. It is also in between classes.

A decision must be made about 95-18. I have been looking at four
of these for several years now and have got to make a decision.
These are out of (Supermanual x Titan's Glory) x Violet Miracle)) X
Anxious. Three are dark and ruffly ("Oh, what a lovely row of
SUPERSTITION, I've heard) and do not rebloom. One is more
tailored with overlapping falls like Titan's Glory. The plainer one
may get the nod because of the reblooming characteristic. Since
one of the ruffly ones won an EC, that only makes the selection
harder. Decisions, decisions.
