Walter, If you like this color, I've got a truck full, mostly from
Thornbird.

In this case it could be a good thing, even though the mamas are good
iris also.

<Out of about 32 plants from Painted Plic x Ziggy,  more than half 
<have bloomed and there is only one that looks like Ziggy. Momma 
<really ruled here.   Most have been culled now.  I saved a few that 
<did not bloom.

I had high hopes for this cross, maybe a bunch of little Ziggys or even a
big Ziggy.

<95-18, The plainer one may get the nod because of the reblooming
<characteristic.  Since one of the ruffly ones won an EC, that only makes
the <selection  harder.  Decisions, decisions.

I've found that show judges will go for the ruffly ones and the public
likes the plain ones if the color is better.
