Hi,
I dug up a clump of irises today. I was intending to split it in half. Half
for a pot and half to move. After some work with the fork I managed to get it
out of the ground. First thought was well rooted. Dumped the clump into a
bucket of water and washed off all the dirt. I had this wierd idea that I
could then take the clump apart. After five minutes of trying to take it
apart I gave up and put the whole clump into a two gallon pot. The thing was
rock solid. Did I mention this was a clump that formed from a seed that
germinated late last spring? Twenty + fans. What am I supposed to do when the
clumps get bigger? Use a jack hammer?
