Scientic Chairman, Dr. Chandler Fulton of Mass. or he was the
chairman...
'Esther C.D.M.' - by Dr. McGarvey named for his wife - one of
the most widely grown white Siberians.
'Cheery Lyn' - by Anna Mae Miller named for her daughter-in-law
and one of the loveliest pink Siberians
'Mary Louise Michie' - by Anna Mae Miller named for an executive
of the Garden Clubs of American (I am guessing at the exact
name of the organization, sounds right tho')
'Forrest McCord' - by Bob Hollingworth named for a hybridizer
'Orville Fay' - by Currier McEwen named for the great daylily
hybridizer and the first tetraploid Siberian - well, first or
second...there is some discrepancy there :-)
Do you want more? I am thinking that Char was primarily
interested in bearded.
