Hi Sandra :
I agree with you that the wind chill isn`t a real
temperature .
Our soil here is naturally acidic at a 6.5ph .It`s a
light , well drained , sandy loam . For the vegie
garden I add lime every couple of years . I think it
should be good for Irises , or do they prefer an
alkaline soil ?
