Re: Re: weather woes (Linda)

Linda how big do the fans have to be before the frost (below 25 ) affects
an iris's bloom for the season. Most of mine are less than 4 inches high and
they have gone through a number of real cold days in the low teens (lots of
"freeze dried" foliage).

I am having some iris guilt this year. Hearing about all the damage
from freezes and hail is so sad. Sympathies to all. Been there enough
times myself, but not there this year. So far.

Some damage to some of the early things from the freeze that hit Neil so
hard (week before last?), but most stalks are moving on. A little bit
of "freeze dried" foliage is moving into major leaf spot & some rot here
and there, but really not much so far.

We're in the middle of 5 days of drizzle to occasional pouring rain
after the driest March on record - that should bring out some rot & help
me get rid of some seedlings.
