Jeff, was this a 2005 acquisition?  Received mine in 2004 and almost  lost it 
last spring.  Did the scraping and sunshine thing, losing about  half the 
rhizome and all increase except two.  It sat and sulked for the  rest of the year 
but is showing signs of limited growth this spring.  I'm  watching it close.  
Other growers in my area are also having problems  with it.  
 
Will lime it today, just in case, which for me simply means I'll throw a  
handful of lime on top of the rhizome.  This has worked in the past but I'm  not 
issuing this as a guarantee.
