We have been using 47% black weave for the last 4 years and it hasn't
deteriorated or shown any signs of wear yet. It's available from a number of
sources but the best prices are from Sundance for custom cutting and
Farmtek.com for remnants.  Sometimes you can get end of roll pieces and
Farmtek has a portion of their website dedicated to the "scroungers corner"
or something derogatory like that.  They list the sizes available at the
time.  Farmers are always nosing the ground for the best prices.  47% has
done well for us and the iris don't leg up too much.  By the time they have
budded out we move them to a covered area for sale.
