Re: CULT: more surprises

It happens every year - the same row of plants I am <positive> I looked at just the day before, when there was no sign of any bloom stalks forming, has a stalk 2 ft tall today. I. germanica. Also first stalks forming on the SDB seedling.

I've been trying to resist feeling for stalks forming, but couldn't yesterday. Found one just starting in a LIGHTNING RIDGE X MATRIX seedling.

Supposed to be a big cold front here in a week or so. Keeping fingers crossed that it won't be too bad. I sure do dread dragging all those plant bed covers out again, all that stooping and bending to anchor them down with rocks and boards and whatever.
