One of our favorite lurkers sent me a note saying blue beards are fully recessive, probabilities of getting blue are low unless both parents have blue beards.

Betty, cross a blue beard with something from a blue bearded parent, and either grow lots of seedlings or keep your fingers crossed.

<While I am sure a lot of hybridizers work with beards, Keith Keppel said in his presentation in the TB Forum last night that he has a particular interest in beards. You might ask him.
