There are plants with bronze and brown beards. we can also get tipped beards, such as red tipped blue. There are also beards with different colours in throart, mid and end regions of beard.
The variation in beard pattern is considerable. Chuck Chapman Date: Sun, 20 Apr 2008 11:19:15 -0400 From: Linda Mann <lmann@lock-net.com> Subject: [iris] Re: HYB: ? inheritance of blue beards? Chuck, since plain tangerine factor produces near red beards, what does tangerine factor combined with blue beard look like? How about combined with yellow or orange? I'm guessing these are the rust and brownish beard colors? - -- Linda Mann east Tennessee USA zone 7/8 East Tennessee Iris Society <http://www.DiscoverET.org/etis> Region 7, Kentucky-Tennessee <http://www.aisregion7.org> American Iris Society web site <http://www.irises.org> talk archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-talk/> photos archives: <http://www.hort.net/lists/iris-photos/> online R&I <http://www.irisregister.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE IRIS
