Re: Iris aphylla - easy clean up

Hi Paul, Loic and Griff,
I've just got four aphyllas, a few of my own aphylla hybrids and one commercially distributed one ('Night Mood'). They're all easy to tidy up in the spring (or any time after they die back for the winter). Actually now that I'm thinking about it, they're are quite a few MTB's and species types that behave similarly.
Best of luck to you Loic with 'Clown Pants'. I plan on trying a bunch of mixed ploidy crosses again this season - it's been a few years since I've done many, but I think that there is a lot of potential in these.
And thanks for the chuckles Griff - I'd always wondered where the German came from in German Bearded irises. Now why did Heinz breed them to have beards?
