Re: iris DIGEST V1 #824

I'm not sure how to post but will try it this way. I keep track of all my
iris and other plants by using Dave's Garden and setting up My Journal. It's
not as detailed as the one mentioned here but it's free. I have all my plants
listed, where I purchased them, when they were planted, if they bloomed or
not, where they are planted, and have included pictures. It serves my purpose
since I am new at flower gardening and keeps my flowers and plants organized.
I just finished adding my daffodil pictures. I planted 80 iris last year and
an looking forward to adding their pictures. This might help someone just
getting started and it's free. Penny

Mike, does it ever "summer" bloom for you?

I'm not totally in love with the colors, but it is otherwise very
pretty. Plus it's alive, which is always a plus here <g>

As of April 7, we are officially out of drought conditions. Finally.
Very lush and green here this year so far.

Jeff, Griff, and (of course) Donald, looks like you guys are still
abnormally dry to moderate drought.

Yes, we're 3.59" below normal here since January. Germination is poor

compared to last year. The ideal is a good, cold, snowy winter. We only
got the cold this time. -- Griff

Some of us have been looking for software or a database program for inventory
and other such purposes. This program may have been discussed already but it
is
awesome and CHEAP. I looked for it in the chat database and found not a quip.
I bought and I like it a lot so far ($29.95). It will do ALL of your plants,
Irises, Daylilies (I know scandalous to the Irisarians!) and Hostas.
Pictures
and all. You can even use the program to publish a catalog website hosted by
the company.

Here is the link and you can watch tutorials on how to use it and it options.
I bought it off of the daylily auction website or you can purchase directly
from
them.

CHECK IT OUT!
