So I guess I need a pink from HoM - fortunately, I have one that Mary Lou gave me a few years ago that is blooming like mad this year. And I thought it was long gone...
To get orange, need four sets of alternate yellow plus four genes of tangerine. And not have four sets of the genes that remove lycopene from petals. So crossing an alternate yellow with a pink will only work if pink carries at least two alternate yellow genes. Chuck Chapman
