Scarlett,
Basagram has always worked for us. We used it in all the places we've
lived. Sometimes I would have to spray twice with the second time 30 days
later. But it does the job for us.

Does Basagram really work for the nut grass? Does it take one
application
or many application over several years. I want to put in a new iris bed
in a location where there is Bermuda and nut grass. I am quite happy to
dig
out the Bermuda, but the nut grass is a problem. I usually get rid of
nut
grass in small areas by digging up the soil and throwing it away (into
the
grass, hence the problem). Though for such a large area, my plan is to
dig out the Bermuda, then cover the area with plastic for least a year.

I had Trugreen for awhile. They knocked the nut grass out but it always
came back stronger.

Scarlett

I use Stinger for weeds and Vantage for grass in the flower beds.
Vantage

won't get Sedges ( nut grass ) though, so I use Basagram for the sedges.

I would like to try it. My front bed is so grassy I can see only the
irises
on the very edges. Nothing has bloomed for years. Once I decide where
the
bed is and isn't I'm going to spray the heck out of it. Thanks!!
