I'M IN HEAVEN !!!
We was visiting our local garden centra, and to my suprise I found
they were selling one IRIS. So now I have my first modern Iris
They usually import dahliarhizomes and other summerflowering bulbs
here in the spring, but i've never seen any Iris.
The iris rhizome was neatly packaged in plastic with some soil and was
dry soooo dry, but had something that looked like new growth coming.
Planted it in a pot, becausse its so cold here still.
No clues to the grower and no specific name, but it was so lovely pink.
on the picture. They just called it Iris germanica.
and in the english translation it was said :
Iris germanica or berarded iris..
Imported from holland somewhere.
Its only 5 minutes since I looked at it, but I must go and see again if
it has been groing.
