Yes I am stll alive and we are having a convention. The magnitude of
details is unbelievable. I opened my mail today and had over 300 messages.
Whew!
For all the geeks coming we will have a gathering on Thursday from 4:30 to
5:30 in the Carmel meeting rooms. We will go from there to the no host
reception preceeding the welcome banquet.
The weather here is rain and more rain. Predictions are for it to end by
the convention and we should have nice weather. In some ways this has
helped as we were having early bloom but it has slowed and should break out
just in time. Our California bloom has been really different this year.
SDB'S are short becaus of our lack of cold, Spuria's and LA'S blooming
early. In my own garden the PCI's have been spectacular.
I talked to Joe Ghio yesterday and he reported the beardless in his garden
are in full bloom and have never been so beautiful. The tall bearded are
slow but hopefully a warming trend will open the flowers. For your
information we have 5 busloads going to Maryott's and Ghio's on Wed. plus 2
large vans on Tuesday. Should be a great time!
Mary Dunn reports that her garden and Roris are going to be spectacular.
For those of you that wonder, Mary's serious health problems are on hold
for the convention and she is looking forward to your visits on Thursday.
I hope all of you have round trip tickets as the rumor we will have a real
estate desk in the lobby is false.
I just received Suzanne's message and am sorry I can't help her. I already
have a roomate.(my wife) Good luck in finding one.
Looking forward to seein all of you in Sacramento.
