They are really fond of Kniphofia "Red hot pokers" and Crocosmia ; Lucifer
is a good one. I can stand beside the bee balm and the hummers will try to
drive you away or on the rare occasion land on you. Also I grow a flowering
Tobacco called NICKY RED that they visit frequently. As for My iris ive seen
a few attempts to feed but there must not be much of a meal there for them.
I think maybe the bearded iris are well protected , the way the standards
and falls are aranged, Poor bees. The sugar water in the humming bird
feeders should be changed often. I have noticed a decline in Humming birds
over the last few years. It may be that so many people are feeding them. I
am not sure but we may be spoiling them to DEATH.

Dogwoods yep, lilacs, yep, bloomstalks, yep, sweet williams, yep,
bleeding hearts, yep, trilliums,yep, bloodroot, come and gone, lilly of
the valley, wont be long. Me thinks its SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!
