re: TB checklist overlap: hot humid and frozen

Amy - these are the iris on your list that I grow or have tried to grow and
how they have done for me:
Anna Belle Babson - died
Beverly Sills - rotted for 2 yrs then died
Blue Luster - still out there somewhere buried under the sweet william -
blooms occasionally, I think
Coral Flush - not too happy, but still alive after much abuse - blooms rarely
(this one might do better if I took care of it)
Liaison - rots, tries to bloom, flower stalks rot, keeps on trying!
Persian Gown - faithfully sends up one stalk every year from under the
daffodils, sweet william, fescue and other weeds - i finally rescued it last
summer.
Dusky Challenger - does spectacularly
Edith Wolford - has rotted for two yrs - I expect death any day
Lace Jabot - does great
Lady Friend - 2nd yr for me - grows great - no flowers yet
Leda's Lover - good - one of three 'new' varieties that were abundant at a
Tennessee show in a similar year of late freezes.
Temple Gold - a survivor
Titan's Glory - grows really well but stalks usually stopped by March freezes
(long before buds)
Jazz Festival - did well for 2 years then rotted
Warrior King - stalks rot, eventually rhizome rotted - other shriner's reds
are much less rot prone for me
Orbiter - good - leaning stalks in yankee weather (cool, moist)
