Thanks for the tip!  I thinkk i'll never eat any californian 
strawberries any more (if there are any here).

And I would never THINK of growing plants that needs lots and lots of
chemicals, I would rather grow something else.

Last year I was digging up all my gooseberry bushes and replaced them
with an specie more resistant to (fungus?).
