I have been so busy lately preparing for the open day we are about
to hold for work that I've barely had time to read my mail, much less send
any. Finally I can pass on some info about Barry Blyth.
The address for the catalogue is
Tempo Two
P.O. Box 60a
Pearcedale VIC 3912
Australia
There is info for overseas customers in the the catalogue, and it also says
overseas orders are processed in February and April only to ease inspection
costs. So I guess its too late for this year but that gives plenty of time
to plan next years purchases. The catalog lists TB, MB, DB, LI, Spuria,
daylillies and Hostas. There are 100s of TBs listed. Most of them are Barry
Blyths but he and the other Aussie suppliers do stock a good range of U.S.
releases (Ghio, Hager, Magee, Schreiner,Gatty, Denny etc).
Regarding chemical use in Aus. I dont think we are so much following the US
except in so far as we are starting to grow more cotton and it requires
buckets of pesticides. Generally we ban the really bad ones eventually like
everybody does and start using new ones with great gusto.
Time to go,
Simone Clark
